New York Fashion Week has come and gone but the inspiration that it always sparks in me remains. I always look forward to fashion week because it brings a sense of renewal and a different perspective than my own when it comes to fashion. I like to see what everyone is wearing, not just on the runways but to the shows and on the streets. I also love seeing all of my friends and fashion girlies to catch up and to celebrate each other. I attended a Bobbi Brown Black in Beauty event hosted by Jenee Naylor of HighLowLuxxe and Style Unlocked YouTube Show and it was incredible. I also attended events with Creed Fragrance for their Queen of Silk Fragrance release as well as a beautiful dinner at Dirty French with Koba Skincare, a Black Owned vegan beauty brand. In case you missed all of the events, fashion shows and presentations, make sure to check out this YouTube video for the events and this video for the fashion shows and presentations and of course this video for all of the fabulous NYC shopping and Black Owned Fashion Businesses. Wow, these trends are on point!
Once again your looks ATE and inspired. Loved the LaPointe look and I really hope to find it for Fall/Winter 24. The black designers you highlighted continue to raise visibility – Thank you.
Hi Monroe
Thank you for sharing ! Will be watching the interview.
See you at the next destination!
Monroe, you always look the epitome of style. It just comes naturally to you.
What I want to say actually is not do with with fashion, it’s about the safety of the general population on the NY underground system and in the streets of Paris right now. I guess you know about the increasing number of attacks in New York and the break-ins. I worry a bit about you on the underground by yourself or with just another female. As regards Paris, the rioting farmers there, and across Europe, will be causing turmoil (though, in my opinion one can’t blame them). As you Americans say, keep your head “on a swivel.” I look forward to seeing what you post. Paris is such a beautiful city and, through your posts, I get to see familiar places again as well as the latest fashions. Enjoy yourself!
Enjoyed the NYFW vlogs. All the outfits were amazing. You never disappoint. I also loved the Walmart haul. Yes I’m ready for spring, but living in South Florida it’s really really hot as you know. Blessing ❤️
Hi Monroe,
ALL YOUR LOOKS ARE FABULOUS! ❤️ However, if I had to pick one it would be the S.ER.O.YA Dress with the vintage Chanel chain belt, the YSL leather jacket and Tamara Mellon boots. The look is so jazzy to me and a look that I would definitely wear. Ultimately though, you killed NYFW and I am so looking forward to PFW loading…..
Love,
Michele ❤️
Hey beautiful. I love your style and truly enjoy you writing. You are my most watched influencer. I started with you and became familiar with others through you. Sometimes I find myself looking for something from you when your not posting. However, it’s so nice that you always call out and recognize others even though they don’t always do the same for you. Keep up the amazing work
I truly enjoyed looking at the fashions this year. There were things that I really would rock. You and the girlies have great taste and I love it! I’m getting inspired to do things differently with my wardrobe. I have the pieces, just need to add accessories like I used to. I’m excited for Paris. I know you’re going to look marvelous. Can’t wait to see what you’ll be wearing.
Monroe, girl…..the fit with the SER.O.YA dress and vintage Chanel belt….Chef’s Kiss! I love all of the looks but I audibly gasped at this one. You have mastered the art of not looking like you’ve tried too hard. Just effortlessly chic and beautiful!
