This post is in collaboration with Abercrombie & Fitch.
I’m planning on spending the summer in New York City on mini daycations to my favorite parks and outdoor spaces. I’ve partnered with Abercrombie & Fitch to show you some of their best summer pieces and share some of my favorite NYC Daycation destinations. I have a lot of color in my wardrobe especially when it comes to my shoes and accessories so having summer staples like shorts and woven tops in neutral color palettes are a must. I’m not really a shorts kinda girl but Abercrombie has me changing my tune. I only wear high waisted shorts and these paperbag waist shorts are comfortable and trendy. I also live for a cozy knit summer top and Abercrombie has tons of them. I have plans to visit the Brooklyn Waterfront park for a peaceful picnic and Central Park for a nice lake boat ride and you’ll probably catch me in one of these outfits. If you live in New York City and are looking for some great outdoor spaces perfect for social distancing to spend a relaxing daycation reading, picnicking or just enjoying the view here are some of my favorites.
Riverbank State Park is right on the Hudson River with beautiful views. You can see families of ducks on the shore and there’s tons of seating areas for small picnics. You can also just bring a blanket to lay out on the well manicured grass and watch the sunset over New Jersey.
Fort Tryon Park is one of my favorites in Summer. It has so many amazing walking trails and amazing views of the George Washington Bridge and Hudson River. This park is massive and if it’s solitude you’re looking for you are bound to find it in the many nooks of this stunning park.
Central Park is a must for summer to feel like summer in New York City. My favorite area happens to be the Bethesda Fountain. There are so many beautiful birds and watching the water is therapeutic. It’s a lovely way to spend an afternoon. There are also a few places to grab takeout to create your own intimate picnic.
Brooklyn Bridge Park is a new favorite for me that I recently started spending more time at. It is one of the newer parks in NYC and it has lovely trails and plenty of benches for siting. It has the most perfect view of lower Manhattan. Grab a book and find the perfect bench to watch the boats go by. There’s also tons of eateries around where you can grab some take out.

Prospect Park is a smaller version of Central Park but did you know they were designed by the same architect? The area around the Prospect Boathouse is perfect for a quiet summer picnic. I’ve spent plenty a summer day roaming the many trails and discovering new ones in prospect Park.
Summer is still summer so find a way to make the most of it with daycations in your area and make sure to head to Abercrombie & Fitch for the perfect pieces to get you through summer with ease.
