I’m on my way to St. Kitts and it will be my first international summer vacation of the year! I’m looking forward to the island breeze and the food of course! I’ll be attending for their food festival and I’m ready to eat my way through St. Kitts. Don’t worry, I’ll be vlogging the entire trip for my YouTube Channel, but in the meantime, I’ve been shopping for this trip! I’ve also received some amazing gifts from swimwear brands during Miami Swim Week too and have a ton of pieces I can’t wait to style. So I thought I’d go ahead and put together a blog post for all of you who will be traveling to a tropical destination this summer and need a guide to all the things. ELECTRONICS & WHATS IN MY BAG
During the summer, I don’t leave home without my portable fan form Amazon. It’s less than $16 and its saved me on so many occasions, including when I was on the road in Barbados at Carnival. The charge last for eternity too. I always carry a few must haves in my summer bags too: Covergirl Yummy Lip Gloss, my Chanel Compact Mirror, a portable charger, my Amazon iPhone light for nighttime filming and photos and of course my favorite hand sanitizer.
VACATION DRESSES
I have been loving easy breezy dresses that are effortless for summer and have really gotten into the brand Onia available at The Outnet for simple yet chic dresses for vacation that are ON SALE! The Outnet always has incredible dresses! I also got some amazing vacation dresses from Zara that are currently on sale as well. Finally I got a ton of super cute dresses from the MyTheresa and Ssense sales. This is most definitely the perfect time to get all of your summer gear, because nearly everything is on sale right now!
HATS
I’m definitely in my hat era because the sun in Miami is no joke in the summer. I have a protective style and my scalp will actually burn if exposed too much. So I’ve taken to hats and I’m really loving bucket hats, raffia hats, bakers boy hats and of course just fitted hats for a more casual running errands look and during travel. Ruslan Baginskiy has easily become my favorite hat brand!
SWIMSUITS & BIKINIS
I’ve really been into simple swimsuits that have cool design elements. Sir has some incredible swimsuits and bikinis that are minimalist yet fun. I also love Andrea Iyamah swimwear as well as dresses and accessories but the swimwear is where it’s at! I’m also loving everything that Christopher Esber is doing when it comes to really unique design elements on swimwear, like metal bars and such. He also makes incredible vacation dresses as well. I have this white dress from him that I’m obsessed with!
SANDALS
When it comes to sandals for vacation, I’m definitely going for flats. I tend to do a lot of walking including walking on the beach and I need something chic yet easy to slip off and on. I’ve been loving my thong sandals from Pretty Little Thing and my Steve Madden flats. When it comes to luxury sandals, I’m always grabbing my Fendi slides or my Chanel Dad Sandals!
TRAVEL TOTES & BEACH BAGS
When it comes to travel totes and beach bags, the bigger the better. I have 2 Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Totes and I love using them as my purse to carry on to planes because I can fit all of my electronics, jewelry and even an extra outfit in it! I recently got the Celine Shopper Tote because its huge and great for the beach! I also have a vintage Fendi shopper which is nice for shopping while on vacation.
