I’m excited to share that I’ve partnered with Ann Taylor (again..WOOT WOOT) to show you my Top 3 Things to Do and See during the Holiday’s in New York City. I love New York City during the Holidays. The rats seem to disappear from the city and there are tons of cool things to do in every borough. There’s a chill in the air and a cheeriness all around. The Holiday Windows of all the department stores are decorated and wondrous to see and all of my favorite Winter snacks and desserts make their triumphant return to the menus of the most frequented restaurants and bakeries. It’s the perfect magical time to visit and experience all that New York City has to offer.
Eat Your Way Through the Cities Best Holiday Desserts
I’m a huge francophile and I love having a sweet treat from Paris right here in New York City at Ladureé. The Soho location on 398 W. Broadway is an instagram dream. I live for their delicious hot chocolate and pistachio macaroons. They also have an amazing tea time and it’s thee cutest place to take your friends for a fun afternoon. Magnolia Bakery is a New York City staple and is well known for their Famous Banana Pudding. I love their Pumpkin Spice Cake that’s only available in the Fall. Stop by any of the locations around the city and get a Red Velvet Cupcake to go! If you’re in the market for an out-of-this-world doughnut then Doughnut Plant is a must. My favorite location is at 220 West 23rd Street. They always come up with the coolest holiday doughnuts from their iconic Christmas Tree Doughnut with mint glaze and mint chocolate pudding inside to their Gingerdough men.
Catch one of the many Holiday Shows & Plays
Get dressed up and head to Radio City Music Hall for their Christmas Spectacular Show starring the Radio City Rockettes. It’s such a fun show and an absolute must at least once! If that’s not your thing, head over to Beacon Theatre and catch an intimate concert with Maxwell. Fortunate is one of my favorite songs of all time. If you want to catch a musical, head to Madison Square Garden for Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! For a Christmas Classic check out the magical NYC Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker at David H. Koch Theater. Two of American Idol’s favorites, Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard, have teamed up for Ruben and Clay’s Christmas Show all December at Imperial Theatre. I might just go see it too LOL.

Shop the Holiday Markets
Tons of holiday markets pop up all over the city during the holidays. I, for one, love shopping all the small businesses for trinkets and gifts. My favorite market is the Holiday Shops at Bryant Park on 42nd St. The market has over 170 merchants as well as delicious food vendors. I have a thing for Wafels and Dinges. There’s an Ice Skating Rink too. It’s also right behind The New York Public Library, one of the major sights to see in the city. Union Square Holiday Market on 14th Street also have some great vendors. I’ve gotten plenty of special holiday gifts for family at this market.
You can find the perfect looks for all of these New York City Holiday activities at Ann Taylor. Their December collection just hit the shelves and they have a little something for everyone.
