It’s feeling a lot like Summer here in New York City. Summer doesn’t officially kick off till June 21st but I’m already planning out how I’m gonna spend these long Summer days and cool Summer nights in the city. One things for sure, I will be in somebodies pool, on somebodies rooftop and for sure at somebodies party. Read on for 7 Cool Things to Do in New York City this Summer!

There are such amazing rooftops all around New York City. My favorite for a great drink and breathtaking views and vibes is The Crown at 50 Bowery Hotel. The good news is that most people still don’t know about this rooftop so it’s rarely crowded even for happy hour! If you like a meal with your rooftop view check out SERRA by Birreria rooftop at Eately in midtown. Of course another great meal with a rooftop view is at The William Vale Hotels restaurant, Westlight. The food and the views are stellar.
Cool Off Pool Side
There aren’t many amazing public pools in the city but for a small fee you can indulge in some amazing pools with stunning views. Check out the Pool Pass at The William Vale Pool $150, Beach at The Dream Downtown Hotel $65, The Pool at The Williamsburg Hotel $40 and The Piscine at Hotel Americano $45-$60.
Head to The Hamptons
Thanks to Airbnb the Hamptons is pretty accessible especially to a group of friends looking to get away for a long weekend. It’s even easier now that you can split the cost with friends. I’ve been eyeing this all glass instagram heaven and this stunning home with a pool that sleeps 6! Use this link for $40 off Your First Airbnb booking![/one_half_last]
[one_half padding=”0 15px 0 0″]Spend a Day Walking Through The West Village
I had such a lovely day a few weeks ago just roaming through the West Village. It’s absolutely stunning in the summer time. Hit up all the lovely shops while strolling along Perry Street. Then check out Carrie Bradshaws apartment. Stop by While We Were Young for a delicious brunch of chicken and waffles and of course drink a While We Were Young Cocktail.
Party The Night or Day Away
There are so many amazing parties during the Summer in New York City it’s hard to keep them all straight. For starters never miss an Everyday People Summer Party. They are the literal best. I always meet new and interesting people and end up dancing my feet into barking territory. LOL. You can also keep in eye out on I Don’t Do Clubs for day party events. Some of my favorite brunch parties include Revive Brunch and Rum Punch Brunch. Make sure to keep up with them for their latest party drops.[/one_half] [one_half padding=”0 15px 0 0″]

Hit Up Some Parks with Extras
I love a good waterfront park and Domino Park is my new favorite spot. It has a magnificent view of New York City. Then there’s Tacocina, which has best fish tacos in the whole city located in Domino Park! Quote me on that! I also love the little herb garden next door. Brooklyn Bridge Waterfront Park is another summer favorite. I love packing up a few magazines and finding a cool shady spot on a bench and parking myself there for a day of leisure and good reads. Fort Tryon Park in Washington Heights is stunning in the summer with tons of walking and running trails. There are also peaks with amazing views. Makes sure to check out The Cloisters while you’re at it.
Do Some Summer Shopping
There are so many cool places to shop in New York City! Make sure to head by Showfields at 11 Bond Street which is a new concept shopping mall with tons of vendors and a slide! Yes there is a cool slide to take you from the 3rd to the 2nd floor with ease. It’s also super instagrammable. You can also head to Brookfield Place, one of my favorite waterfront shopping destinations. You can then head to Canal Street Market for cool knick knacks and handmade goods. They also have an amazing array of food vendors. Get a Matcha Latte Bubble Tea from Boba Guys and thank me later.
What will you be up to this summer?
